For the first Weekly Photo Challenge on my new blog I’ve selected several images displaying a wide range of jubilance.
Many of these are also forecasts of future posts. Coming up, for example: uncle’s visit to Morocco, a selection of boat photos, a visit to a shell cemetery in Slovenia, a visit to an ordinary, surprisingly uplifting cemetery in Italy, a reminiscent Sarajevo restaurant in Piran, a stroll by the Tiber, and two new scenic paths discovered in vicinity, one in Orbetello and the other in Pitigliano.
And now let’s look at examples of little daily victories. (I recommend clicking on horizontal photos to enlarge them considerably.)
A new lawmaker is in town (Porto Ercole). Or is it lawbreaker? Will he emerge jubilant?
His last travel had them all kneeling before him. It was painful, he says, but he is richer for a fascinating Morocco experience. (Photo by MTC, as the neat little watermark suggests.)
He was feeling particularly jubilant because he delivered the lovely stripy Morocco goods just as ordered. (The fish is from Turkey by Svemir Zeko.)
Capalbio was no different. Last man standing: the lawbreaker lights up after the final gunfight.
Meanwhile, amore is not feeling it yet, but it will come. Victory of the job well done and finished.
This guy has forgotten that he is Italian and is doing some sport. This is jubilant by itself. 😉 He is going to tame this wild and wavy Orbetello lagoon!
That knowledge of being the prettiest in town (Porto Ercole).
Not yet, but we will all feel very jubilant when bestia crosses this Pitigliano scenic wobbly plank after initially displaying such mule-like behaviour.
Father came up with plenty of reasons for jubilate. At Shell Cemetery on the Slovenian coast.
New books – as good reason as any, if not better. By the Tiber in Roma. Photo: MC
Well, this one is hard to beat. The caption reads: “What would I be doing without you these 45 years?”
The Slovenian who won the Silver Medal for Yugoslavia at Sarajevo Olympic games in 1984, accompanied by some Bosnian wisdoms (“There is no bread without a hoe.”) on the wall of Sarajevo 1984 restaurant in Piran, Slovenia.
In conclusion, the very basic jubilant thought: I’m still alive. At the cheerful Orbetello cemetery.
Thank you, Bulldog, and good to see you here too. 🙂 I hope you don’t mind calling you that. I often say for myself that I’m a bulldog, since I’m a Taurus and dog in Chinese. 😀 Not that I pay much attention to these things, it’s just funny to me.
Great photos!
