These birds are arranged in the order from the farthest away from my home to the closest. Actually, I didn’t even have to stand up from my computer for the last one.
Farthest from home: a cormorant in Piran, Slovenia.
Sant’Angelo bridge in Roma: seagulls need angels too…
…if only as a landing post.
Still in Roma: after this fly-by…
…every pigeon would need a refreshment.
Getting closer to home: Orbetello lagoon is known for all sorts of aviation, including bombers during WW2.
Closer still: Burano lake, a salty strip along the sea, is another well-known refuge for flying bestias…
…even though this one looks like it’s about to run away.
Two of three neighbours. They don’t approve of bestia for some reason. Luckily there is a fence.
And finally, a reward for lazy photographer: shot through the window, through the mosquito net, from the chair. He came to see if Claudia’s book is here yet. Maybe today.
What a great series of pics, Manja. I like the way how it tells its story… …from the most farest point to you home.. …from panorama view to close-up… …if now the birds are on top sorted in alphabetically order by their nicknames… …thumbs up! 😀 😀 😀
..ooohh, Manja. You would better have said: Took me age to arrange all this in that order!!! for the first one I even went back because the image seems a bit to close-up…
Hihih, what can I say, Markus… I prefer truth to polished fiction. And what is truly cool is that truth works wonders usually on its own, we just have to let it. 😉 2-month Zigi is cracking me up. 😀 😀
i like the third one… well done good entry for the prompt

Hihihi, yeah, the first is Anton and the last Ziegfried. 😀 Thank you! From panorama to close-up was not intentional, I swear!
