SL-WEEK 48: Silhouette

I’ve just returned from Slovenia with a slight fever (and too many photos) and I can’t brain, therefore just a few slight silhouettes.

First the last one taken during our stroll around Ljubljana which is such an amazing city that you really can’t believe it until you see it for yourself. More photos coming up in the next posts. This one – I realise it’s not a true silhouette – was taken in Metelkova City (more photos from there posted in my first blog here).

Then follow four images taken right here in my backyard, so to speak, or better backroad.

The last one from this bunch is from Villa Pamphili park in Roma.

The characteristic pine trees in the last image are my mom’s favourite trees. Which brings me to the next part of this post: 12 photos that I’ve had printed as part of mom’s birthday gift. It involved conversion from pixels into cm and back but it all ended up well. They will grace the stairs in their Piran home (which is to say, the space between two stairs each, rather than the wall above the stairs). The reason why they are here is that the first two feature silhouettes as well. Locations are given in captions.

And believe me, such a 70-birthday party will NEVER happen again. Mom, lucky to be born near you indeed. 😉

Marvellous series! But, what is the first one?

    1. Leya, it is a roof ornament in the alternative Metelkova City in Ljubljana (most similar to Christiania in Copenhagen, just much smaller and without a representative in the city council). And thank you!
