I admit, I like fountains a lot. Must be the dog in me. And collecting some of my favourite fountain photos I realised that they are not so very different.
That is, until small Slovenian town Žalec builds the first beer fountain in Europe. Plans are made and it’s a go. Just keep the dogs away.
Meanwhile some of found fountains that calmed this water baby.
We have some version of gulls here, I forget what they’re called, but it’s odd to me, since we’re essentially landlocked. I don’t remember there being any before I moved away…
Something water being controlled artistically that causes some kind of resonating sense in us. Great work in capturing the diversity of fountains. “Il Vittoriano, Roma” and “Pitiliano” both for me demonstrate how fountains are a much as works of statues.
Thank you so much, Cee. This comment of yours went to spam for some reason, but I rescued it from there. I’m always happy when you choose to feature my post and it makes me smile. 🙂

Thanks, Joey! I was just reading how in Roma seagull population is growing on account of sparrow. They practically beg you to take photos of them! 😀

Thank you, Mr. Elusive. I’ve just been reading how some Roman fountains had been built to be merely statues, only much later water was added.

Interesting. That would make sense of why some fountains from that time look as they do. Always glad to learn something (historically) new. 🙂
