Not so sure I’d recognise vintage if it jumps in my face, that’s why I give you some photos of my past life with my past dog in my past country taken with my past camera.
Before buying my first (I should ADD: digital) camera I did plenty of online research. I was such a newbie that I had to study everything from zero. Not that now I know much more, but I was all in favour of taking care I had manual settings – as IF I used them much. I mean, I did use them but the results were inferior to the auto mode.
Anyway, the choice fell on a Canon Powershot and I was using it happily for about ten years until I was gifted the one I use now, a Nikon point-and-shoot. The difference is drastic, mostly in the zoom and focus department. But, I’m certain manual settings were more advanced in the case of Canon. The two modes I use most often now with my Nikon are Auto and Easy Auto. 😀
These were taken with my Canon about ten years ago. I wonder if that qualifies as vintage. First four were taken in the woods around Tivoli Hall in Ljubljana, where I walked our first dog Žak daily. I also wonder if the dilapidated building in the first photo, former hotel Bellevue, still stands or is maybe even renovated. I remember having a meal there with my parents and grandparents a long time ago.
The last two are from Piran on Slovenian coast. I guess vintage is in the air there. And such a tough choice at those doors there.

WHOA…What happened to your blog? Is this a new theme? Have I not been here in a while, or what exactly? I use Auto and Easy Auto and Supreme Auto mostly on my camera. Great shots, woman! They call it auto for a reason…it works.

Yep, you had to be approved again because this is my brand new blog. Obviously you didn’t get the memo (no, really, I sent you an email to an address I found by chance in my contacts – I guess you once replied to my About me query). You have some catching up to do then. These shots are ten years old though and shot with my first digital camera. Maybe I should go back to Canon! 😮

No…did not get no memo, dude. I’m not sure I signed up again. I’ll go make sure I did/do that. Don’t want to miss the movie!! Why’d you change? Run out of space? I like the theme a lot. My first digital camera was a Canon, loved it! Great size, small, light. But it fell out of my backpack somehow…into the ocean. Fried itself on the spot.

I don’t think you did, at least I got no notice. You merely click “follow” that appears in the bottom right corner, sometimes. Or if you want to get an email when I post, there is a big FOLLOW button at the very end of every page. Yes, I was running out of space and got excited over this new theme. Which camera do you use now, just curious? Would you vote for leave or for stay?

I just followed!! I use a Sony RX-10. It’s a pretty cool camera, but not professional grade. I just don’t want to lug around lenses and gear any more. I love taking photos with my iPhone!! Leave or stay…huh?

Regardless of whether they’re vintage or not, I say they’re great!
My favourite is the 3rd one with the red roof on top of the small turret with a clock. So much to like in that one 🙂
