Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Stepstairladders

Stairs are pretty much like doors, or arches, or windows: they follow my glance wherever I go.

As for ladders, I didn’t need to go far. Work was in progress, and I got three in one (first photo). From then the tour continues by way of usual suspects: Roma, some Toscana, the Tarot Garden with some wicked stairs, and Piran in Slovenia where I’ll land pretty soon.

Yeah, bestia, I know, extraordinary, three in one!

Amore on our round staircase to the roof. One year we had wasps inside the hollow handrail. It’s not hollow any more.

Do NOT climb these stairs behind Il Vittoriano in Roma. It’s a dead-end, or at least it was last month. Lovely view though.

Piran: lovely view but deadly, ugly, round rolls for stairs that hurt your feet, with the sea not deep enough to break your fall. (Tried that. Don’t!)
