I love these kind of challenges where I can curate and create one little personal exhibition.
Once I start browsing my archives, I soon gather a bunch of images to the theme, but I don’t stop. I keep looking through the latest, and then I remember an old one, and ohh, look at this one, and I add one even though it’s blurry, I just loved the moment, and another blurry one just because it’s the only one I took of that particular motif (mental note: take MORE than one, or get a camera with manual focus), and this one because it’s so colourful, and that one because it’s of my father showing where he manages to pass with his car, and some because they are pretty, and there are always too many, but I don’t cut them down, no – I’m me, always a bit over the top.
I did set an absolute limit to the amount of photos in one post, though.
Here are my twenty frames then. Welcome.
First I noticed that things hide inside branches. On the way to Rinka waterfall, Kamnik-Savinja Alps, Slovenia.
A castle above the lake, for example. Lake Bled, one of Slovenian major attractions.
The island in the middle of Lake Bled framed by nature.
Here the apples almost hide Šmarna gora, the hill above Ljubljana which caused me some grief when little. We became friends after.
In Orbetello, a palm branch embraces the stage.
In Ljubljana, more branches show off a lovely balcony.
I love it most when there is a combination of frames. Here a little flood blocked our way to Lake Burano.
A bridge over the Savinja river. It was MOVING under us. I guess it provides its own frame. Or at least I see it this way.
Here the frame is provided by this hollow staircase to Eagle’s Nest, a bar next to the Rinka waterfall.
Back to the home beach in Capalbio. Take one.
Take two at another time. It really looked this way.
A Roma sunset trapped in a car.
This scared me a bit: the zoom is too wicked. I haven’t yet figured out how to ethically shoot faraway, oblivious people.
This is the square Colosseum in Roma’s EUR.
And hotel Piran again. Every doorway is a marvellous frame by itself.
Some frames are more literal than others. Hotel Piran, Slovenia.
Ljubljana public opinion: “Janša screws us.” “Buy me a Falcon.” (Janša is a Slovenian politician. Naturally.)
What happens to a Crodino if you freeze it.
Father is showing where in Piran he is able to drive through. A Scenic, no less.
And this is all over the place, since it’s me choosing the frames.
What a great prompt for you since you do a really neat job of taking a unique perspective with your photos!

Before reading your text under the photo, I was thinking, is that an egg yolk inside the bottle??! (I’m quite happy it wasn’t!)
