Apart from wishing you happy September 1st, which was always the bittersweet first day of school for me, I have 5×3 images for you with regard to several doors in Slovenia.
1. Ljubljana Bežigrad: Let’s start closest to home, with three yellow houses in the same street. The last one is proud promotion of friend’s company that deals with disability aids.
2. We move to the centre of Ljubljana in the afternoon of the same day. These have called to me even though the cake was melting. How could I resist? The last one is Slovenian Ministry of Finance.
3. We stay in Ljubljana to go out to a hiphop show as part of Festival Urbano Dejanje. Surely there won’t be any doors there? Hm… Also, the age difference between the two rappers on the left in the last photo is 54 years.
4. Then we go to nature, away from the doors. However, a little stroll around Slavkov dom, a restaurant above Ljubljana, revealed first a door with a puzzle and then a rather hard-to-reach church. And we know that churches have doors. This time, however, they got me good. I couldn’t believe this was the only way in.
5. Okay, Kamniška Bistrica! Mountains, a river, a bridge. Should be pretty and doorless. But is it? Does it wait for me to find it like that? Should I do something with it once I find it, like in a game? Anyway, the last photo is a proof that I know how to admire a door merely from afar and leave something for the next time.
Slovenia, never a dull and doorless moment. Despite, or for this reason, everybody welcome!

Wow such a beautiful place….
My favourite shot is the one with the swing in the foreground and the nice doors in the background.

Thanks, Norm. All this is in jest, of course, I’d never complain about a door, no matter where, no matter when. 😉

That patio with the parasols, and the door beneath, is adorable! Also, I love the steeple in your last image.
Yes, my experience is the people living in Eastern Europe are very welcoming and hospitable!

Thank you, Jesh. Slovenia is more Middle European though, a bit like Austrians. 🙂 For example, we were in Yugoslavia once and it was never in the Eastern Bloc.

You brought us a nice and varied selection of doors today. I like the blue doors, but I like the old wooden doors and the unexpected doors too.

My favorite shot is the last one because of the mountains. 🙂 I like the group of doors (shot on the left here) and the door by the woodpile.

Hahah, “never a doorless moment” 😉 Have you read Neil Gaiman’s Neverland? There’s a character named Door, maybe you’d like it! 😂

Together with other hundreds, in my e-reader. 😀 But it will come next, when I finish Ender’s Quintet – it’s five books, now I’m on 3rd and it’s still wicked!

loved the lighthearted humor and feel like you brought us on a tour!
I liked so much here – so to funnel it down to a few thoughts – first – the opening looking up view was stately and nice – with the white door leading the way up!
and is that a door fence !? way cool In pastel too –
and then the door with all the greenery growing around it – truly a niche location –
have a great weekend and thx for the door tour 😎

🙂 I like this, that I take you all on a door tour. I tend to repeat it every Thursday. The pastel door was the decor at the student festival. The last thing I’d expect there. Thanks for telling me your thoughts.

I just know that you will always have something special for a post about doors! I can just imagine your reaction when you found the plain steel door on the church 😉
The tiny church snuggled at the base of the mountain is a lovely photo.

Well, you know that I must always infiltrate some narrative. 🙂 I guess my brain works this way. And that steel door was a real bummer. 😀

Thank you, Elusive, but I don’t think you’ll forget. 🙂 Also, when you comment there is still the link to your old blog which is now protected. Maybe you’d prefer your name to lead to your new one.
