WPC: Mirrorised

First, a favourite sentence from a favourite recently read book that happens to mention a mirror (and a portly woman). It’s a joke.

She was convinced that she was anorexic, because every time she looked in the mirror she did indeed see a fat person.
—“Good Omens”, Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman

And now several photos of mirrors and other reflective surfaces, some of which are from my first year in Italy. You will have to click on the first photo to view the gallery.

  3. First off ‘Good Omens’ is probably my most favorite book in the world at the moment. I re-read it every time we take a long sailing passage. Makes me roar with laughter every time. Second, I love your gallery of mirror images…especially the pup at Capalbio beach.

    1. 😀 Lisa, I’m glad for the book! I’ve only now read for the very first time, imagine that. It certainly puts things into perspective and it’s a splendid voyage companion. I’m glad you like my photos. Not many sailboats come wandering along this beach, I wonder why. It’s a nature reserve, maybe that’s why.

Love the photos, especially those of bestia. And the disco ball, that everyone now owns. Your family sounds like so much fun.

Definitely 2 thumbs up on the bridge in Rome (very, very nice!) but I am also quite enamoured with the photo of the reflection on the car roof. It’s the little bits of colour (paper?) that add interest to the photo that otherwise had a black-and-white feel to it. I like it 🙂

    1. Thanks, Joanne! That car reflection photo was taken last year after a little Lent carnival must have been passing by our car. .)
