Thursday Doors, September 8

This is the scariest house in Roma, more precisely in Monteverde district. Or just the most remarkable one? I’ll let you be the judge. Since it’s got only one door, I add a couple more from the neighbourhood.

A fun little story you’ve woven around this building … but I agree, those *things* on the side of the door are really odd. I mean, really!

I like the doors in the arched entrance, but I’m glad you included all of them. I even like the old wooden doors (but I hope they get a little TLC). The doors where you would really have to watch that first step are scary looking. I see those a lot and I always hope there’s a barrier in the inside.

    1. Thanks, Dan, but what do you mean by watching the first step? Where is the danger?

It looks like some of the doors open to a pretty sharp drop. Maybe I’m looking at windows.

      2. Apart from the main entrance, the others look like windows to me – but I’m not so anxious to find out for myself. 🙂

Gorgeous romantic ending. If you say it’s scary, then I believe you. You got an old soul and a good gut! 🙂

    1. Hehhe, Joey, that’s the first, thanks! Will gladly repeat it around here when the occasion arises. 😀

Ahah so true! It is, indeed, a very weird house! It has a mysterious aura and those pieces of something attached on the wall…I really do not know why they are there 🤔

    1. Thanks, Fede. Who knows… Maybe they found some ruins in this place before building a house and decided to put it on the wall. Why not, eh? 😉

  6. That house must belong to some secret society like the freemasons or something similar…with weird rituals going on inside…. Love the palm tree in the green door pic, kind of like a door pic I took in Uruguay (and posted once)… The second last door has a face, I swear!

    1. Oh, yes, SMSW, houses have faces, that’s for sure. And then it depends on your mood if you see it winking or threatening you. I’m happy every time you post your travel doors and wish you’d be doing it more.

      1. I would, if I had more doors 😄 Next time I travel I’ll try to get some into my frame 😉

  8. I see you’re preparing for Halloween; nice doors regardles of perspective. 🙂

    1. Hehe, Gordon, not really, since I don’t do Halloween, but I can see the connection. I don’t think I’d approach this house if I was a kid…
