“Nos” means “us” in some languages and “nose” in Slovenian. Here is a nose our family fondly remembers.
His name was Žak and he was our first dog. We found him in the trash the year NATO was crossing Slovenian sky in order to bomb Serbia, newborn, together with nine brothers and sisters, and ended up raising three males by the bottle. Here is the story of how that came to be from my first blog.
Seeing him after a long time (I don’t dare looking at old photos in my new country lest nostalgia grabs me by the throat), I see only now how different he was from bestia, not only for his love of swimming, but even more for his expression.
Žak lived from 1999 to 2012 and gave us life when we most needed it. Below he is in his favourite elements, that is: any kind of water in all seasons, the woods, the grass, and at the top of the stairs where he greeted us regularly. (Click on an image to open the gallery.)

Beautiful dog. Reminds me of the two goldens we used to own. Miss them very much.

SMSW, I’m not so very sure. 😀 It’s much better to have them at different times, so that they can both be the only dog standing. 🙂

Wonderful! He is so beautiful, and had the same interests as my Mille. They would have been the best of friends♥, swimming and playing and splashing around in the autumn leaves…Mille left me in 2014, 12 years old.
