Thursday Doors, October 6

I’m going to privatise today’s edition of Thursday Doors like some bank and furnish it with my parents who are coming up, or down in this case, right about now.

But first, a special kind of Thursday Doors. Thanks, mom, for the idea and the props. I’ll never hold a 50 Euro banknote again without thinking of Thursday Doors, and now neither will anybody who sees this. 😀

And now a collection of doors from here and there featuring my parents, especially mom and dad (to quote a Slovenian soccer player). Bienvenuti!

    1. Hihih, thank you. These Italians tend to be on the tiny side. And I’m sure I will.

I love the fact that your parents are totally into assisting you in finding cool doors 🙂
As usual, there are so many great doors to choose from – including the 50 Euro note … but my favourite is your dad squeezing through the narrow blue door 🙂

You’re lucky MMM. No one shares my enthusiasm … although my hiking partner humours me when I stop a hundred times to take a photo 🙂

  3. The narrow door and the Euro doors are the most unusual. I enjoyed meeting your parents and I think your dad should forget that small door!

The skinny door appears to be a door within a door. I guess you want to try to get through the little one, rather than look like you require the full access.

I love the contrast between many of the doors and the stone walls. It really makes them pop out.

Your parents look like they are enjoying this visit. I hope you had/have a wonderful time together.

    1. Thanks, Dan, I’m sure we will! They are not here yet, this is a selection from their many visits, and mine, in the last three and a half years since I’ve been in Italy.

What a fun post! And your parents really got into your search for doors! And you found many! They changed the money in Europe while we already lived in the USA. Great post:)

You’ve got some really amazing photos here, and some interesting windows too, like the ones in the “parallel life” photo. Hard to pick a favourite door from this collection, so I’m not even gonna try

    1. Thanks, Pistachios, never a dull moment. 😀 And no need to pick anything, I’m just glad you enjoyed it.
