Thursday Doors, October 20

I posted images from Volterra before, but as it often happens, doors were saved from that post. Here is only the first part of them, all from the same street opposite the Castle which actually hosts the State Prison.

I had to keep my camera turned away from that, no photography allowed, no matter what a beautiful door that prison has. You will have to go and see for yourself.

The sun was slowly going, most of these doors were in the shade and I had to rescue them from obscurity in post-production, and yet it was nothing I could do but click. I love it when they lay a door-filled street like that, as if just for me. Nothing special but lived-in and cosy.
