For a while now I’ve been threatening with my laundry folder. Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge on the theme of windows lets it all hang out.
First come Italian windows, followed by Slovenian from Piran – so that you can be the judge of whether Italians truly do it better.
I’d say it’s a tie.

Great window post. I grew up a country boy where my mother had a clothes line in the side yard. There were two ‘T’ shaped metal posts with three ropes strung between them. The posts were about 8 meters apart, so that made for enough line for our family of six.

Thank you, Vicky. Plenty left. Sometimes I feel that’s all I do, shoot doors and windows. 🙂

Thanks, Kerry. I guess as long as it’s not one’s own. 😀 Even though fresh laundry is hard to be topped.

Didn’t you once post a laundry post too? I loved it and I told you then about my laundry folder in the making. 🙂

Yes!!! …and I’m just wondering what kind of folders we still have in common. 🙂 …do you have a rabbit bone folder?

Hahhah, nope, I don’t like dead animal parts. Most of my folders have boring town names. There is one called ‘Boats’, and one called ‘Trash’, meaning garbage found artistic. Nothing too exotic.

Neither do I !!! There is no rabbit bone folder. 😀 😀 😀
boring town names??? …like: “Dozeville”, “Yawninton”, “Cape Nap”…
..what about a folder with exciting town names : “Sparkelton”, “Port Thrill”, “Estasione”… 😀 😉

Hihihi, no, they are only boringly similar: Sovana-Sorano-Montalto-Montalcino-Monticiano 😀

why boring? ..just rename them to ‘sexy villas of Sovana’, ‘car chases in Sorano’, ‘killer grapes from Montalcino’… …I mean that is bullish** of course… …but if some hack your computer, he will be defiantly impressed!! ..just kidding 😀 😉

Nothing like the fresh smell of clothes hung on the line. You’ve got a real eye for composition – lovely shots.

Thank you, Jan! 🙂 If I do, that came organically, by watching around and other people’s photos, and taking my own.

Nice selection of windows and laundry 🙂 I like working (functional) shutters, but I think there’s enough to go around. I’ll join you in calling it a tie.

You’ve done an entire post on laundry! It’s brilliant!!
I know a lot of people who hate neighbours hanging out their laundry. I’m not one of them. Is there anything better than the smell of clean bed sheets dried outdoors?? Not to mention it is environmentally friendly 🙂
I am so impressed with the upper floor clotheslines (and more green shutters). Necessity really is the mother of invention!

I’m so glad you saw it, Joanne. Nobody should be upset with something like this. It’s a sign of life. Thank you!

I’m the same, but we don’t hand laundry outside anymore .. for some reason. I suppose if you live in a private house area there will be more of it. Love images with laundry.

Thank you, Wind Kisses, I’m glad you came to look. 🙂 There is something about laundry indeed. Nice to meet you too! I have never been to Spain but I believe it’s a bit similar to Italy in my ways.

Yes. A little different in culture, but the love of family and love of life and the little things remains consistent.

*I should say above “in many ways”. But I’m sure you understood correctly. These seem like the most important things.
