Today I intended to show you doors from our October four-town autumn fest trip, but I counted 34 door photos from the first town alone. Here is the first half of Caldana doors then.
The town of Caldana in the province of Gavorrano in southern Tuscany has its annual “Festa d’Autunno” in October and we were there. But it must be as beautiful the whole year around.

Just what I needed…a trip into the sun on a gloomy day here. If you have a metal outer gate, it should be as attractive as the one you showed here. I love the little details in the “Welcome” shot and that second to the last might be my favorite overall…but maybe not. There are so many great ones.

Oh, yes, plenty of sunshine around here, welcome, Janet! I’m glad you’re in trouble to choose the favourite. 🙂

Beautiful collection. I know that feeling, when you have too many doors for a Thursday.

Thank you, Dan. I think it’s a grand feeling. 🙂 Every time I wish to show only the best, but then the others are sad.

Gorgeous collection! I love the yellow ochre walls with those rich dark wood doors, and that first door…oh the texture! I nearly swooned! 🙂

That’s quite a selection. Those closeups really show how old the doors are!

Thanks, Jan! Yes, Italy is old but mostly well-preserved. 🙂

Thank you, Charles. I try not to show every single door photo – or better, I try to photograph only those doors that are exceptional in some way. I’m overdoored over here. 🙂

Lovely photos, as always, Manja. I love that ‘sweet’ little cellar 😉

Thank you, Jean. This is one of the reasons I don’t like to leave any door photo behind – the honey cellar almost didn’t make the cut as the quality of the image is low. But the content prevailed and I’m glad you chose to mention this one. 🙂

Gorgeous! Third photo, Ahhh! And then second-to-last photo, Ooh!
But in between, I love the large arched door and am glad you found it partially open, and of course, I love the ones that feature plants 🙂

We were in Northern Tuscany 3 years ago for a vacation to take a breather after the three art workshops I had given in Holland. Boo bad I didn’t know the door challenge yet! It’s the perfect place to relax, paint, browse and taking trips! Well done, Friend – my favorite is the door with the shutters like design.

Oh, Jesh, I haven’t been to Northern Tuscany yet. You might return one day. And you’re right: they only appear to be shutters. 🙂

Very cool display, Manja! We took a 1-day tour to Tuscany while in Firenze last year and their old villages are a door blogger’s dream.
