The title goes well with yesterday’s Fiesta, whereas the photos are two apiece from different tops I have climbed in my two countries.
But first the last week on my blog lest I forget. There were quite a few topics:
- Last week’s subject of “wish” had me running for a pretty little church;
- I told you which films I saw in the last four months and why;
- birds had their wedding-day so I had to show you some birds of Tuscany, including flamingos;
- six Slovenian windows went well with six Ray Bradbury quotes;
- my 2016 calendar got richer for twelve images from May (I added two upon realisation that I’d only posted ten);
- on Thursday the doors were again from Pitigliano, your favourite, it would seem;
- and yesterday I had some St. Patrick’s fun. I hope nobody needed that sink.
And now things I’ve climbed and belle views I had, over here in Italy and over there in Slovenia, with two photos from each location, or thereabouts. (The view improves upon clicking on the photo.)

I did love Slovenia. And it was a long time ago. It was all Yugoslavia then, though I was very aware that I was in Slovenia. The border with Croatia is in that peninsula or am I remembering it wrongly?

Yes, the peninsula Istria is divided between Slovenia (only 42 km of coast) and Croatia (the bulk of it). The border is only about 10 km from Piran. I hope you come back one day. 🙂

Oh, Mamie, thank you and always welcome. 🙂 If I want snow, I have to look for it. This winter I have not seen it from close up at all.

Oh, Joey, just earlier I realised I forgot to include one. 😀 I guess I like climbing things. And bestia always wins, like Dan’s Maddie. 🙂

Thank you so much, Agness. Seeing that you’ve seen so much of the world already, I’ll take it as high praise. 🙂 I had a look at the world map on your blog and if I see correctly, Slovenia – my country of origin – is still blank. I hope you make it one day.
