Beautiful composition, at first I didn’t quite realise there was a cow in there! I like how the focus is on the wood, makes for an interesting perspective.
Yup, the orange teeth give them an appearance of something out of a James Herbert novel ! Also, in Portuguese we use the same word for otter and nutria, so I’m always half-expecting the former when looking at pictures of the latter.
Great capture.

Thank you, AWTY, this was in a bird sanctuary in Slovenia near Trieste. More photos from there coming up next week.

😀 There are horses too, white. And nutrias. They look all happy together.

Ick, aren’t nutrias those things that look like giant rats? If I was a cow or a white horse, I would be worried.

Indeed, there is one on a photo in the next post from this one, but better photos (from Tuscany, we have them too!) are here: https://manjamaksimovic.wordpress.com/2015/09/21/sl-week-12-beasts-of-south-tuscany/
They are indeed a bit ick. Orange teeth don’t help.

Hihih, that’s not very useful. The former is nothing like the latter!
