What a fly-by week this has been! Before we return back to the basic pack, here is the first part of yesterday’s doors.
They were found in the town of Tuscania which is not in Tuscany but in Lazio, to make guessing harder. The last few days have been HOT. Bestia says concrete, or even worse, hot sand, is not made for his tender paws. Some acclimatisation is in order. It’s going to be a hot one.
As for the most recent news… Damn, Chris. 😦

Well… The first door was my favorite, then I saw the 2nd one, then the 3rd…. etc, each next one becoming my favorite! Loved them all by the time I got to the end of your posting!!

Yeah, Kevin, thank you, my plan worked then! Imagine how must I feel when I encounter so many gorgeous doors all the time… 😉

It’s amazing how good a well crafted and preserved door can look even if everything else around is crumbling. Loved this collection – specially the green one with the number 4 next to it.

Thank you, Vibha. In a way a door is like a smile on a face, even if it’s a wrinkly one. 🙂

Beautiful photos, Manja. We’ve had lovely sun here too, not much heat though. Hopefully it’s on the way.

Smashing set of photos, I especially enjoyed the rosetter indicating a new addition to the family.

Fabulus doors. So much character. They all tell a story…

Thank you, Luccia. Indeed, it’s character the doors here have aplenty. And with characters a story is not far behind. 🙂

We’ve had a couple of hot, humid days here in the Chicago area as well, although this morning is a bit cooler, which is lovely. I can’t pick a favorite this week, although I enjoyed the peek through the fence.

Thank you, Janet. I’ve fixed the ‘peak’ error in the meantime. 😉 And the breeze is making it tolerable.

Love the reflection in that last door:):) And the blue door with the leaves in front is my favorite capture – dreamy and romantic!

Thank you, Jesh. 🙂 I’m sorry now that I didn’t take a photo of the slit through which I took this photo. It was so narrow! But something made me look.

Thanks, SMSW. That day in Tuscania I swore aloud that I shall only took photos of the best, strangest or most interesting ones and still got about 40.

Nice collection, Manja! The smiley door (last door reflection) was a good one to end with!

Great selections as usual and I really loved the shots through the fence!
There are only so many ways to take a door photo so it’s always fun when there’s a chance to mix it up and get creative. Nicely done 🙂

Thank you, Norm. 🙂 You can imagine, don’t you: you see a tiny slit in the fence and you just KNOW you have to have a peek.

Wonderful collection of doors. Isn’t it great when you find something like this when you peek through a narrow space! (And then hope the gap is wide enough for camera lens!
Bestia will need a lot of special treats to compensate for being forced to walk on hot ground 😉

Thank you so much, Helen! 🙂 I asked aloud those present what people who don’t shoot doors do during their visits of Italian towns. What do they look at? Doors steal most of my glances, and then there was one also hiding in that slit…

As usual, so many interesting doors. As my favourite, I pick the battered doors with the pink decoration on it (what a cute tradition!!) because it is flanked so beautifully with the floral bower.

Thank you, Joanne. “Flanked so beautifully with the floral bower.” Wow, this is a combination of words I’d never be able to come up with, love to learn. 🙂
