CFFC: Garden party

I’m not a regular contributor to Cee’s challenges, but sometimes she says just the right word.

So when I saw her beautiful gardens for her Fun Foto Challenge, I knew I wished to link photos from this particular Roman garden to her challenge. Photos are from today, lunch too. Buon appetito!

Same goes for my new writer’s blog. It was built to feed. Today I created a special page on this blog – see above, it says NEW: WRITER’S BLOG – in order to keep track of and link to individual posts from there. The latest is a story in verse about two snakes I saw but cannot prove it with nothing but words.

And now inhale.

    1. Thank you, Joey, I knew you’d love this. I don’t know many names either. But that’s okay, luckily they don’t need to be called by name to give us their scent. 🙂

Incredibly gorgeous. The white ones look like crown of thorns but I don’t see any thorns. Thanks for inviting us to your garden party.

    1. Ohh, Judy, but there are thorns, look at the third photo, lots of big thorns! So it must be it, thank you for giving it the name, and you’re always welcome (not my garden but the owner is very welcoming). Yesterday I saw your incredible subtropic garden too. It’s not possible to be sad surrounded by all these!

Oh yes, you are right. They are definitely Crown of Thorns, but the varieties I have produce the flowers in a rectangular pattern like a pave arrangement–all flat and lined up. I’ve never seen white ones before either. Yours are beautiful.

Absolutely beautiful gardens and flowers! Interesting about the pomegranate in bloom. I’ve grown some from seeds, but they never got very big. 🙂

    1. Thank you, Barbara. Here they grow into tall trees. And all photos are just from one special garden. 🙂

  7. So beautiful, colorful! The orange flowers at the table are maybe my favorites out of these. But the best photo has to be the 2nd last one with bestia hiding under the table!! 😂 Never a dull moment with him, eh?!

    1. Amore’s father loves his flowers. 🙂 He’s doing everything himself. He has also given three plants to us to take them to my parents in Piran, Slovenia. 😀 Bestia is now much more polite than he used to be, if I only remember when he was little and chicken was on the table… We wished for some dull.
