“Čuj ti, v Mariboru si!” (Hey you, you are in Maribor!)

A speedy look at some Maribor doors. Second biggest Slovenian city. Father’s birthplace where he is pointing (point at the door, it’s Thursday!). National soccer champion, one step away from the Champions League. Nuff said.

I love the quotation marks: Do not park, “door”. And so you learn the Slovenian word for door – “vrata”.

The first official Football Club Maribor merchandise shop. There was a dead something small in the window on the left, right above the inscription “Our colours are forever”. Care to guess the colour in question?

There is a nice Slovenian proverb: Where a donkey lies, he leaves his hair behind.
