Out of endless Piran doors, here are some that caught my eye this time.
Yesterday I had a sobering walk through the centre of Ljubljana. It was a vulgar display of availability for money. In comparison, Slovenian coast still has its spirit, at least Piran does. And I’m not talking about the smell of pee, even though there’s that.
Today we are back on the coast where love is not in the air but in Italy, working. On my photos he is still here. Never enough amore.
And then I shall experience the madness that is a “Dubioza kolektiv” concert. They are from Bosnia and they play in Koper. They go around a lot and are worth checking out. “No escape from Balkan“.

These are all great, but I like the ones with the metal work over the glass panels, especially the one with the very narrow transom window (with a curtain)

Oh, Dan, thank you but I went through them three times and can’t find any curtain! 😮 Which one do you mean?

I think it’s the second one. It’s either a curtain or figured glass. The narrow side lights and the transom window are shaded by something and the main glass pane appears to have a curtain behind it that has a similar pattern.

What a beautiful post, Manja! The 10th door is my favorite, but they are all strikingly beautiful. Love the angle you took from the tower!
About my comment yesterday – to my blog came “Manja movie and …others liked your post” – it was after midnight and I was tired, and then I at times use an approximate, instead of the right word (you, being versed in languages probably understand that phenomenon), but I got the message – linking is not the same as liking – they just both start with an L (haha)

The first 4 photos are the same doors, right? They embody romantic perfectly. Maybe its the soft light, the warm colour, the open door, the wrought iron or the symbiotic combination. I want to walk up those stairs and meet mi amore.

No, no, Susanne, the first 4 aren’t the same, only the second and third are of the same door. 🙂 They weren’t even taken on the same afternoon, but on two consecutive days. The light here as the day is ending is good enough for a life-changing decision. I’m certain I made mine on an evening like this right here. Amore was waiting on another shore over the sea and land. 🙂

So much to like … but I loved the photograph you shot upwards at that stone tower with the battered wooden door. I love that braided detail near the top of the tower!
