WPC: Windowing

What’s new? Windows 10 but also twenty windows right here.

As if the word got around that I’m finally getting Windows 10 this weekend… With it came a small dose of bitching – for example, they took the font of my watermark away. Why? They also considerably changed my beloved Windows Photo Gallery. I’m pretty sure I’m the only one using it so they didn’t care. However, amore promptly found me the old version. With me old habits die especially hard.

Anyhow, things are much better now, especially the fact that I have two hard disks. Plus, I ended up using the new Photo Gallery to edit these photos after all and might continue doing it. Do they seem different to you?

Here is a collection of windows from the last couple of months. The majority are from Piran on the Slovenian coast, but there are some lovely ones from Ljubljana too.

The last two photos are from my favourite window taken last night here in Tuscany. I wear my heart on the windowsill, and the broom… the broom is parked and ready. 😀

But first a photo from the church in Lokev. I find this scene very inviting.

The next two photos are from the church in Milje/Muggia at the Slovenian-Italian border.

These windows are so pretty! And sorry about the loss of your font-so frustrating.

    1. Thank you, Denny. One just supposes that they would add new options, not take stuff away. And a special thank you for having a go at my other, writer’s blog. 🙂

So many wonderful windows. I also do associate an affinity to the darkness and meaning of the heart window. Special! ❤

    1. Thank you, Olga. I’m glad you find it special too, but it’s not even your window, or your broom. 😉

Great photos, but the decorated windows to me are the best.

    1. Thank you, Valentina. You mean the pink house? Ljubljana locals call it “the Indian Embassy”. A bit rude, I know.

  5. I would be tempted to sit in that window seat and not leave for hours!

I loved the warmth of the yellow building with the golden iron window, and OH! the flower boxes and arches!!! Swoon!

I spotted the broom. Does yours fly? I seem to have lost my mojo and can’t get mine to fly anymore. 😦

    1. Hihi, Deborah, mine is waiting for the right time, might be what yours is doing too. 🙂 Thank you for your attention and enthusiasm. ❤

You find a selection of windows as equally interesting as the doors … which isn’t much of a surprise 😉

I rather liked the photo gallery in Windows10, but I’ve had such serious problems with my laptop – from the very first day I got it 3 years ago – that I finally bit-the-bullet and converted to MAC. I’ve been a PC user from the very beginning, but this last experience was the last straw.
I’m going through the various growing pains now. Some things I like, some I think ‘what the hell?’. I haven’t even attempted anything photo related yet. I’m praying it will be painless 🙂

    1. Oh, thank you, Joanne. I hope the same – painless for you! I could easily go through life without so many changes all the time. But I guess they are useful…

All lovely, but I like the ones set into the crumbly walls the best!

    1. Thank you, Lexi. 🙂 The crumblier, the better, unless it’s your home…

He LOVED it! I was so happy that he found it as lovely as I do. We also had the good fortune of having one of the only sunny days in weeks.

Beautiful collection! I love the bright pink building with the elaborate window trim 🙂
But yeah, I love that one with the reflections and the birdhouse, too.

    1. Thank you, Joey. I’ve never noticed how many reflections there are on my photos. I guess they add another room in which to play.
