You just have to live and life will give you pictures.
~ Henri Cartier-Bresson
The quote above, which I reblog from this post by a great photographer Jane Lurie, pretty much sums up photography for me. Even clicking is optional – sometimes my eyelashes flutter instead.
Here are five images that life gave me on that April day when we went to the Roman park Villa Pamphili. You take it from here.
This isn’t much of an image as such, if it weren’t for that sticker. To be dressed badly, the capitalist sin of Italy.
What do we have here? Mom’s Run, suitable for the entire family. Main sponsor? Ice-cream company. And there is an after pasta party. I’d almost run for that!
An elephant watering hole. (Nah. This is Rome.)
The story of an object. Why sudden lack of need for this leash?
Life gives you pictures. you just stir the cocktail.
Love the monochrome tree photo! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you, Liz! ❤ These are not even in flickr because there are only five. 😀

I think you could construct a nice little story from those images – perhaps a bit bizarre but who doesn’t dig a bit of the bizarre? ; )

Thank you for the idea, Jan. I’m afraid I’d also need a kick in the ass. 😀 Out of sheer laziness I let my camera write stories, instead.
