November

Now that we have crossed over into November, here are twelve images from last year’s. Not bad as Novembers go.

I will never forget the righteous anger at not being able to see the sun for weeks in my former hometown. Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, lies in the basin. In the winter months the clouds often cover it completely and for the sun you need to leave the city.

So I did, a bit farther than envisioned. Not that here it’s sunny all the time but there is no comparison. And I like dramatic clouds too.

These were taken 15 minutes from our home at the most. The last two are from The Tarot Garden, “Il giardino dei tarocchi” by Niki de Saint Phalle, to where I’ll return tomorrow. From November through March it is only open on the first Saturday in the month and it’s free.

My 2016 Calendar is almost complete. Only when December is done, will I be able to build a proper calendar with one representative photo per month, which was the original idea all along but I got swamped with too many photos to show. In the meantime I wish you enough sun.
