The Garden is calling again and on Saturday I answered. Here are twenty Niki’s Tarot Garden peeks.
Il giardino dei tarocchi (The Tarot Garden) is a sculpture park designed by late French artist Niki de Saint Phalle who lived in the middle of this park in the south of Tuscany and created the world around her.
This creation saved her mental health after she had been abused by a family member, but working with toxic materials also destroyed her physical health. All of it is in the air there, and more.
Her wish was that from November through March the Garden was free to visit every first Saturday in the month, while the rest of the year it’s payable.
I’ve run out of fingers to count my visits, and yet this time it was different: completely fully full and packed and crowded and loud with lots of sitting on statues, some complains but still more cheers and happy sighs. So be it. Everybody deserves a chance to see it and to be on my photos. I prefer to look away from humans but this time there were just too many. Thank you for the peek, people.

Oh, Cheryl, it is. Even with so many people around its coolness was the winner. Thanks!

Thank you, Farmgirl. It’s my top spot in Italy for now, and this is saying plenty.

Thank you, Joey. To me too, every visit makes me love it more, even though nothing changes. For this reason I need to come up with always new ideas for photos.

The Tarot Garden! Already long time on my bucket list(after I saw a documentary about niki)! Her creations are just awesome and looks you had a good time there. What is the best/niciest place to stay/overnight and visit the garden? have a nice weekend Manja!

Oh that’s a good question, Nomad. 🙂 I’ve been there 10+ times so far and I have never seen any hotels close by, not even a bus stop. I don’t think it’s easy to access it without a car. If you can, rent a car and then you’re much more flexible. But you like to walk! 😀 The closest towns are Pescia Romana and Pescia Fiorentina, see if you can find a place to stay there. I live only 15 min away but you need to be bestia-tolerant to spend the night here, hihihi.

Well Manja, I don’t have a driving license, but walking is indeed my thing:). As I replied on your other comment… maybe 2018:). We keep in touch, my dear follower:).
