WPC: A pick of peeks

The Garden is calling again and on Saturday I answered. Here are twenty Niki’s Tarot Garden peeks.

Il giardino dei tarocchi (The Tarot Garden) is a sculpture park designed by late French artist Niki de Saint Phalle who lived in the middle of this park in the south of Tuscany and created the world around her.

This creation saved her mental health after she had been abused by a family member, but working with toxic materials also destroyed her physical health. All of it is in the air there, and more.

Her wish was that from November through March the Garden was free to visit every first Saturday in the month, while the rest of the year it’s payable.

I’ve run out of fingers to count my visits, and yet this time it was different: completely fully full and packed and crowded and loud with lots of sitting on statues, some complains but still more cheers and happy sighs. So be it. Everybody deserves a chance to see it and to be on my photos. I prefer to look away from humans but this time there were just too many. Thank you for the peek, people.
