The Tuscany-Slovenia-Rome rotation of Thursday Doors brings us back to Monteverde, my hood whenever I’m in Rome.
Since I have to walk the dog anyway, I might have my camera with me at all times, I say and I do it. I’ve gotten to know all the doors in a neat little circle. The emphasis is on little. I’ve shared many already and it’s a bit of a struggle to find interesting ones.
That’s why, instead of enlarging the circle, I’ve started to take photos of doors also at night and through the fence. One of these days a resident will chase me away with a broom, and I’ll pledge to Norm, the traditional Thursday Doors host.
(Nah, I’m exaggerating on purpose. All of these were taken from the sidewalk of what I could see through the fence in passing, without any special manoeuvres.)

I really like the door at the top of the curved stairs (but they’re all nice).

Hihi, Cheryl, you’re right, it is an owl! I’ll never be able to unsee it now. 😀 And the next one is a butterfly! And the next one a piano!

Hihi, thanks, Vicky. Oopa-lupa-supa is just an expression of joy or does it mean something else? 😉

Nice collection, as usual. Another vote here for the one at the top of the curved staircase 🙂

Thank you, Norm. I think the curved staircase adds to the charm too.

Lovely doors, but my eyes kind of snagged on that orange tree.

Thank you, Joey. 🙂 I love it how they are not shy about colours at all. Except when it comes to cars…

Each one of these doors is so astonishing, Manja. I won’t be able to pick a favourite one if I had to choose. What did you like best about Slovenia?

Thank you, Agness. These are all from Rome, Italy, though. 🙂 Slovenia is my country of birth and I lived there for 40+ years, so I guess this is what I like best about it. 😀 And my parents! I had a glimpse of your blog and I can see that you have seen almost everything except Slovenia. How curious! I certainly hope you visit it one day. My suggestions are: Ljubljana / Piran on the coast / Kranjska Gora / Planica where they ski jump and Tamar valley / Lake Bohinj (ok, Lake Bled too) / Kamniška Bistrica / Logarska dolina / 7 Triglav lakes (you need to be fit to climb up there) / Goriška Brda. And that’s it for now. 🙂 Welcome to my blog and Slovenia!

That door near oranges is a fav for whole winter haha

Yes, looking good but they say the oranges are not good enough. Rome is not to the south enough and they are bitter. For really good ones you need to go to Sicily, it seems.

I find the idea to blog about nice doors you spot around when the dog walks you (haha😀), absolutely GREAT. That’s a curious and interesting way to show a city under a new perspective!

Ohh, join the club! We post our door photos every Thursday and they are gathered by Norm the Doormaster in the link at the bottom of the post. I hope you take and post some too! And thank you for the follow! 🙂
