Even though this and next week there are no official Thursday Doors, right now I shall put together a gallery of door favourites from this year.
The idea came from Judith at Beyond the Window Box as it did once before, for my Calendar. Even though this time I promised her only one post, I couldn’t keep it at one door per month. That seemed so few that I just had to add the runners-up. They were giving me puppy looks.
Each of the twelve lines includes two photos posted (but not necessarily taken) in the same month, from January to December.
Door lovers, see you at Norm’s next year when I shall close this blog and continue posting on my new blog Mexi Movie the Third. Welcome!
Just a Ljubljana beauty.
And this is me in a door-shell. Piran.
A Siena show-off.
A Pitigliano scene.
Rome at night is spooky.
Metelkova City, Ljubljana.
I think this is the first pyramid door I see in Thursday Doors. From Rome, of all places. Pyramid of Cestius, built about 18–12 BC.
Now Thursday-Doors-famous submarine door in Ljubljana.
Dove vuoi. “Where you want it.” Your door-catering service in Tuscania.
“Skuhna” in Ljubljana was established by a Slovenian NGO to help integrate the country’s vibrant migrant community, while offering locals diverse foods and cultures from around the world.
Me and Orvieto Cathedral.
Talamone cemetery surprise beauty.
A terrace door of tourist farm Magovac, Krka, Slovenia.
Courtyard beauty near father’s birthhouse in Maribor.
Piran light play.
National and University Library of Slovenia, Ljubljana.
The restaurant at the Socerb Castle. They stage weddings too.
Also in Tuscania. I wish to crawl in the keyhole and peek out.
That’s why it’s better to look from afar. Capalbio Scalo.
Home, sweet home grown.
Another Siena beauty saying Until I see you again…
To end with a couple of favourites. Look at that light. Old Ljubljana.
I don’t even care if they sell graveyard candles. Pretty. Monteverde, Rome.
I don’t think you can enter just like that. You need to get married. St. Michael’s Church in Črna vas, Slovenia.
Thank you, Liz. I see that I didn’t include us with gelato in front of the green door as I intended. I’ll never forget that day though! 🙂 Looking forward to your doors.
Nice doors!
Ps. I feel like I know your parents, I’ve seen so many pics of them! 😉 Happy New Year to all of you, your amore and bestia included of course! 😀
Hahha, indeed! Father once complained if there is no law about posting parents online, only children. 😀 However, I feel I know you too quite a bit and all I ever saw was a blonde ponytail. 😉 Thank you and the same to you and your lovely family!
Okay, don’t hate me. They’re all lovely, especially the blue shutter-type door, ooh! But, I really love the shot of the lit windows on the dark facade. That’s my fave 🙂
The one with the heart? Why would I hate you, it’s my home. 🙂 I wear my heart on the windowsill. 😉 I know the door is nothing to rave about but all together like this is lovely. Now there are some green lights added, might take a photo of them.
Love te door with the horse head handles! Thanks for sharing your doors, Manja! Marcus

Great collection! I remember #8: what city is complete without a pyramid shaped crypt? 🙂
