These 230 songs (and some of his favourites) made up the soundtrack of our first meeting, and in many ways make up the soundtrack of my life (with Suicidal Tendencies, Rage Against the Machine, Clawfinger, Therapy?, Ministry and the like left out for now so as not to scare him immediately :D). Well, I clicked on the first one, and it looked like I had to join something to hear it, and I am kind on overload with all the twitter, and instagram and all of it, I did not want to add one more thing. I forget what it was called, but I had heard of it before. I guess it is a song sharing service.

Ah, I know, but all the rest are youtube links. The first one is such a favourite of mine that I had to add the link, even if it’s on Myspace. I’m not a member either, no need to join in order to listen. Just click play on the only song title there – “Poletje” – and you should be able to hear it.

Myspace, yes, that was the place; thanks for telling me I did not have to join. All I had to do was initiate adobe flash player in order to hear the song. I LOVED IT!!

Great list. In this list, I found many, which I love also. To me it was curious that You have never listened music from Chile, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela. All these countries has one common music, which my favorite – Cumbia. It is happy tropical music. Many millions love it. My favorite Cumbia style is Cumbia Andina (Cumbia from the Andies). Cumbia is originally from Colombia, but it has different nuances in other countries. Some people think that it is Salsa, but it is not. Others think that is Latin music, Latin music differs from Cumbia and it is played in the States.
Few people know Guatemalan music Marimba Tecu Mann. It is odd that we never can listen to it. Our world’s music is wonderful!

Thank you so much for this contribution. I’ll search for some Cumbia. You are right, even the word is unknown to me. Must be because I have not yet travelled to South or Central America. And I’m updating my links in this list – many have stopped functioning. Thank you for spurring me to do it. 🙂
