Not only doors today, also windows and walls, but freshly baked. LJ woman reports.

Apart from the last door, which you saw in my previous post yet, all of these were taken yesterday after my dentist’s appointment which cost me one tooth, with my mouth numb, wrangling my umbrella, wiping snowflakes off the lens and yet realising that Tuscany or no Tuscany I’ll always remain, as my friend said long ago, an LJ woman.

It might not have any sun in December (three days and still waiting), but Ljubljana, the city of my youth, certainly has the spirit. At least until I reach the tourist zone and don’t recognise the city any more.

It’s promised for Saturday, though, the sun.

Oh My! A ‘keyhole’ doorway! I’ve never actually seen one except in storybooks, and this one is beautiful … especially with the contrasting blue-green door and iron balcony. LOVE!

    1. Thanks, Joanne. It is indeed a keyhole door, isn’t it? Didn’t even realise. And I’ve never noticed them before… Gotta look up.

  3. A definite favorite this week, the same one Joanne and Dan are raving about. Color, shape, metal…it all works beautifully. Sorry about your tooth, though.

    1. Thank you, Janet. It’s fine now but I had a strange reaction to the injection, trembling all over. Glad I took these though.

The doors are calling out to you now? Love it. Color does liven up a scene, doesn’t it?

    1. Hehe, Jan, they are. Sometimes they whisper, other times yell, but they rarely let me pass. Without colour, where would we be? Poor “serious” photographers who only have to deal with black and white. 😀

    1. Thank you, Norm. I wonder now if this is new or I was just away for a while and didn’t look up while still here.

Next to last doors – interesting where they placed the “windows” – it has an unexpected rhythm! Snow where you live? Unusual, or?

    1. Thanks, Jesh. Yes, these “windows” made me pay attention. Snow is very usual here but I got unused of it since we don’t have it in Tuscany where I live. Lack of sun is more disturbing though. Today it came out for a few minutes only and it was like a revelation.

  9. The Keyhole door was wonderful, and K4. I liked it the graffiti and door color combo I think.

I hope you’re feeling alright after losing a tooth. I’ve lost a few and know it’s not always comfortable in the days afterwards. Rest, and be well!

    1. Oh, Deborah, it was quite ghastly that day and night, I kept having the shakes. A reaction to the injection, I suppose, haven’t had many of those in my life. Now it’s all good and I’m glad it’s out. Still raining cats and dogs. Waiting for the sun. Thank you!

  11. “Without the sun even more hungry for color” – that resonated with me! 😀 Lovely pics, as always!
