Whereas my first Volterra door post was all about one street opposite the prison, today I wish to show you some other doors in this scenic town, of various churches and of the library. On top of one of them we even discovered uncle.
And instead of my uncle you can picture Alan Rickman here. I’ve just learnt that he adored this town and the entire region and had a house less than an hour from me. Further investigation will be required.

Alan Rickman was such a wonderful actor and I can see why he liked this town. All the doors are great, but I think the blue one is my favorite. The zebra lines are interesting and look a bit odd with everything else.

OMG!!!! So much history and beauty!!! The second building with the green shutters…sigh…
And #8!!!!! That’s it, I’m getting on a plane NOW and heading straight there. I’m going to knock on that door and tell the people who live there that they have to get out because I am moving in 😀

Thank you, Jean! Not an expert at all, but I can see this pattern all over, mostly on cathedrals, but also on our local school, for example, either black and white or red and white, possibly other colours as well.
