When I saw this week’s WPC theme, I had to think hard. Didn’t we just had something like it? I had to check. It was “texture”. I think I might be consufing the two.
Be as it may, it’s always a good excuse for posting a bunch of photos. Not that I lack any. If you see more texture than structure, so be it.
(Sorry, Finland. Slovenia had to beat you in basketball. Really.)
This World War I. museum in Lokev, Slovenia, was closed but they must have too many weapons to show them off like this at the gate.
And this is what the mermaid has to say: “Fish, pleassseeee!” She was my personal hair-dresser. Thank you for the braids, Z.!
This hangs on the wall of the bedroom in Piran where I was sleeping for weeks and still I didn’t manage to take a more even photo than this one. And yet if you look close, the cats are closer than the rest.
Porto Ercole: At first I thought this was trash….
….Then I realised a ceramic shop was close. These are the winds of the region and its directions, such as Scirocco, Maestral and Tramontana.
Back to Piran, Slovenia: I often pass this wall….
….when I stroll with Bestia. He is such an art lover. 😀
A surprise in Milje/Muggia in Italy: Hundertwasser Haus from Vienna, Austria, beckons from the wall.
This goal of the Piran primary school is reinforced by an all-seeing eye.
This is a shop-window of “Anbot”, Piran’s society for the preservation of heritage.
Piran’s antiquity fair on Tartini square is full of structures. This one and two more photos from there.
Wood. Structure: wooden.
A pair of slightly opinionated structures.
After a round of the fair, even the architecture appeared to wink at me to buy it.
This Piran church floor is rather amusingly structured.
As is this roof in the Socerb Castle complex.
Or this one, also in Socerb.
Near the castle there is Sacred Cave. Oh structure, my structure.
And so we come to Formaviva above Portorož on the coast and this pillow.
Actually, there is the whole bed, to sleep, perchance to dream about structures, textures, fixtures and all the rest.
Thank you, SMSW! 🙂 I think they must keep these challenges broad enough so that everybody can find something to post. Good this way too.
Slovenia won, yes, and I bet your journalists will not be too pleased. We have one NBA player who has learned all the tricks, not all pretty… And you are very kind, toasting to us. 🙂 Cin cin right back!
Lovely mix here, MM! And I definitely use WPC as an excuse to post photos!!! 😀 So Slovenia won? Cin cin to Slovenia, then! 🙂

The reporters are saying it was an exciting thriller of a game? I didn’t follow, as you might have noticed 😄

Oh, SMSW, thriller is right! I had an impression the entire Finland was watching. I guess you were otherwise engaged. 😉 Or just not interested.

I especially love the eye mural behind the goal.

Thanks, Judy! 🙂 A bit Mexican-seeming, maybe, that eye… I miss your blog and will come over to catch up sooner or later, I hope all is well.

I thought it was very Mexican as well, although they probably would have placed the Virgin Mary there.
